What is a PF Press System?
22nd August 2019
The need for safer and more practical means of plumbing is at the heart of the PF Press System. Pipes and fittings have come a long way in recent decades, but the introduction of the press system is a relatively new step and seen as the way forward, with less fittings required and faster installation times.
The PF Press is for both domestic and commercial settings. It can be used for portable water, underfloor heating and all general plumbing, heating and cooling installations. It is a WRAS approved product and comes with a 10 year warranty – WRAS approved means it has been fully tested for its effects on the taste, colour and chemical changes of water. The fittings are available in brass and PPSU, both with stainless steel and and EPMD “0” ring seals. Sizes range from 16mm to 32mm. The fittings and pipe are pressed together using a manual or power press tool.
Here are the top benefits of the PF Press System:
1.) Fast and Secure Installation. All the installer has to do is cut, calibrate and connect – the press tool will take care of the rest. The auto-cycle feature means no guess work is needed and ensures every joint is the same.
2.) Temperature and Pressure Resistant. Able to withstand high temperatures and is resistant to stress cracking and fracturing.
3.) Time saving and efficient. Each connection is made in a fraction of the time when compared to soldering systems, and much less training is required – therefore less cost per job.
4.) Safe. The installation of the PF Press System is completely flame free, with no fumes or emissions while installing. This means no fire hazard when installing and faster clean up afterwards.
5.) Lightweight. The easy to handle PF Press System requires few fittings, it is easy bending yet has no loss of rigidity. Dimensions are from 16mm to 32mm.
